Culture day today.
To see the various temples, museums, etc you have to get a ticket called something like the Culture pass Hoi An. It costs 120,000 VND (around £3.50) and let’s you into 5 temples.
Top of my list was the Japanese bridge. Getting the you pass all the artisanal shops that Hanoi is famous for. Custom suits and dresses, leather bags.
The more memorable places were the Japanese Bridge
and Tan Ky, an old merchant house where the residents still live upstairs
And the Chinese (Cantonese) Assembly Hall
