Day 26: Hué to Hoi An

The hostel offered to courier my rucksack to Hoi An and rent me a one way motorbike (actually a scooter) for $18. It would mean I could see all the sights from Hué to Hoi An that I would otherwise miss – pretty good deal!

First was Tu Duc’s Tomb (the name is actually Tự Đức if you include all the accents). This is a monument for the Emperor built around 1867 which is built in an estate that includes lakes and gardens.

Some amazing coastal roads with sand dunes full of tombs

An amazing road up and over the mountain into Danang where I got a puncture. Fortunately I found someone to fix it after wobbling along for several kilometres.

And finally into Hué in the dark a bit later than I expected.
